I’m alway on the hunt for cocktails that use grapefruit, a favorite of mine.  The wonderful interweb introduced me to the Blinker and I decided to muck around with the recipe a little to come up with my own Sperris Blinker.  I didn’t have any grenadine or raspberry syrup so I used sweet vermouth.

Turned out pretty well thanks to some great rye and vermouth from my sister

And some beautiful grapefruits.

Blinker cocktail

2 oz Hudson Manhattan Rye
4 oz freshly squeezed grapefruit juice
1 heavy splash Dolin Vermouth de Chambery – rouge

Mix over ice.  Enjoy.  Repeat as desired.
